Laboratory is supplied from 220 kV system using 230/120 kV/kV, 160 MVA autotransformer.

Laboratory's basic testing equipment consists of three short-circuit transformers with parameters per unit:

• short-circuit power 580 MVA / 5 s;
• primary voltage 115,5 kV;
• secondary voltage 1 - 32 kV step 1 kV.

Laboratory also performs tests of HV equipment with 123 kV supply voltage and current up to 2800 A.
