The Automation and Protection Laboratory operates in the field of power protection automation which includes:
- testing new structures of protecting devices,
- developing new concepts of microprocessor technology applications for protection automation,
- developing and implementing equipment for protection automation testing and control,
- developing, constructing and low-volume, high mix production of untypical protection and equipment for power protection automation,
- laboratory and operational testing of securing devices,
- analysing and expertise authorizing power protection automation devices for use in power generation.
The laboratory staff is a group of experienced researchers and engineers.
The head of the laboratory is Emil Tomczak, M. Sc.
